The Mercanti Group was founded in 2001 by Jim D’Aquila, a successful and experienced corporate finance professional who had worked for over two decades at large, multinational firms such as Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette (DLJ), Credit Suisse First Boston, Dain Rauscher, Aurora, Drexel Burnham and E.F. Hutton.  In founding Mercanti, Jim recognized the need for a transaction advisory firm that provides unbiased advice, customized solutions and a commitment to treating each client as an individual.  Under Jim’s leadership, Mercanti has built a team of experienced investment banking professionals that share this belief and that together have put this philosophy into practice.  Headquartered in Minneapolis, Mercanti has established a national footprint with additional offices in Los Angeles and New York to better serve our clients.
